Alan Opresko's artworks are abstract assemblages consisting of objects found at garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, antique stores and trash piles. The finished artworks, consisting of multiple found objects, are grounded in the "look" of the individual items therein. However, when presented together they evolve beyond the individual elements and stand in and of themselves as unique aesthetic constructs.

Julia Johnson Rothenberg starts by painting what she sees in a landscape, often in terms of what she wants to remember about her experience of the place. Then the questions she is asking change, sometimes perceptibly real as changes in light over time, and sometimes less obvious, as in the various textures of soil, rock, and meadow. The painting, therefore, becomes more abstract, as her interest moves to concepts such as the interaction of color and texture. In essence, Julia is a painter of "Abstract Nature" and uses oils on linen and canvas and watercolor, pastel, and graphite on paper. The title of this oil painting is "La Ruine."
